Responsibilities

CSS is seeking qualified candidates to be considered for a facility manager position within its space programs division. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience managing budgets, schedules and resources required for the successful operation and maintenance of private use airports, physical plants, occupied buildings and/or light manufacturing facilities. The facility manager will supervise a diverse staff of employees, ensuring proper scheduling of activities, resource allocation, and task-time management. The facility manager will be expected to work alongside employees to accomplish tasks and scheduled work as needed. This position will serve as the primary point of contact and customer interface for CSS, providing responsive and professional communications to the customer, developing and submitting information and reports in a timely manner, and responding to customer concerns and requests for support.  This position will include, but is not limited to the following duties: attendance at meetings; review, develop and estimate responses to task order requests; conduct financial analysis of expenditures and costs in support of invoice development; and develop and maintain all records of meetings, minutes, actions, etc. 

  • Oversee the execution of a preventive maintenance schedule and plan
  • Coordinate and make all necessary arrangements to ensure services are continued without interruption
  • Maintain facility systems in working order according to industry and manufacturer standards
  • Ensure all work is performed in a professional and safe manner
  • Manage vendor services to contract specifications and requirements
  • Respond to emergency and priority work orders within established timeframes
  • Maintain all equipment and property in good working condition and conduct regular inventories
  • Manage spares and supplies efficiently
  • Create and submit regular reports and briefings as required

Qualifications

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Facility management experience including employee management;
  • Experience with government/contractor infrastructure support services;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Team player who is able to work with all disciplines;
  • Energetic, positive attitude with the ability to handle change frequently;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
