Responsibilities

CSS is seeking a project manager with demonstrated experience working and supporting KSC utilities and infrastructure, serving as liaison and point of contact for commercial construction projects requiring interface with KSC, commercial aerospace providers, and utility vendors. Knowledge of the Exploration Park infrastructure, excellent communication and coordination skills, and a good working relationship with KSC and their contractors is a must.  The utility manager will oversee and assume responsibility as Space Florida’s point of contact for customer construction in Exploration Park and other locations as required.  The utility manager will serve as the authorized point of contact for all tasks assigned and include, but not limited to, attendance at meetings; review and comment construction plans, provide input to support sustaining and maintaining ExPark infrastructure; coordinate activities with stakeholders; serve as utility coordinator across ExPark 1, II, SLSL, and NASA; document and maintain records of construction activities. 

Qualifications

  • Coordinating outages, connections, and walk-downs of ExPark infrastructure;
  • Reviewing, commenting, and concurring with construction plans and provide input to support sustaining and maintaining the Park infrastructure, acting as the Park’s municipal staff;
  • Reviewing and understanding the land use agreements;
  • Observing and validating utility installations and connections;
  • Ensuring system verification and testing is properly conducted;
  • Coordinating any needed permits issued through NASA;
  • Coordinating and scheduling integration or use of ExPark infrastructure with appropriate personnel;
  • Communicating effectively with the O&M operations and facility management team;
  • Documenting data and develop and standardize utility processes;
  • Escalating issues to customer that may impact lease agreements;
  • Preparing reports and assessments as required;
  • Performing other related managerial tasks as requested by senior management;
  • Performing all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
  • Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
  • Experience reading and reviewing site plans;
  • Experience with government/contractor infrastructure support services;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Team player who is able to work with all disciplines;
  • Energetic, positive attitude with the ability to handle change frequently;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
