initiates plans, develops and coordinates programs for the acquisition, accountability, utilization, condition, reporting and disposition of government real property, which includes land, buildings, other permanent structures and real property installed equipment.
Work activities include:
Prepares and maintains real property accountable records (hard and electronic) in accordance with applicable NASA and GSA guidance. Updates facility records in the NASA Real Property Management System, the Facility Space Management System and Maximo.
Supports the KSC Real Property office. Performs global updates to the NASA Real Property Management System when requested by NASA HQ or the KSC Real Property Accountable Officer.
Drafts and reviews NASA 1046 forms. Scrutinizes facility construction and modification efforts, and updates the NASA Real Property Management System, the Facility Space Management System and Maximo.
Conducts physical inventories on a three-year cycle of all NASA-owned facilities. Accounts for capacity, cost and related equipment essential to facility function and tags real property installed equipment. Verifies the facility capacity, usage, real property installed equipment list and facility manager information. Checks for square footage anomalies. Updates the real property location and asset records in Maximo, as well as the NASA Real Property Management System.
Researches previous projects and determines costs for facilities numbered for identification purposes only, to be updated in the NASA Real Property Management System, the Facility Space Management System and Maximo.
Maintains records for facilities located on Kennedy Space Center, but owned by other entities, in the Facility Space Management System.
Researches, logs and updates facility manager contact information, and ensures all facilities have an assigned facility manager in the Facility Space Management System.
Sends add/delete notices and status changes via Workflow Notifications in the Facility Space Management System.
Checks, verifies and assigns facility numbers.
Maintains legal agreements in the NASA Real Property Management System and the Facility Space Management System.
Uses the KSC Geographic Information System and the NASA Space Management System to reconcile differences with the real property data.
Helps provide document review and correction of individual real property records to be upheld in NASA real property accountable audits.
Fieldwork is required.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Maintains work area in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
Performs in compliance with Federal, State, local, NASA requirements
Bachelor’s degree in related field with a minimum of three (3) years experience. Equivalent education/experience may be applicable. Should be familiar with reading design engineering drawings and specifications for basic tasks. Must possess good working knowledge of common office software such as Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Requires good oral and written communication skills. Must possess the ability to make sound/routine, independent decisions based on the working knowledge of general business principles, company and corporate procedures, goals and priorities. Will be required to process information that is business confidential. Candidate must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
